Places to Go & Things to See

Ritzville's Museums

Ritzville's  two museums are open to the public Monday through Friday from 1-4pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  During the remainder of the year they may be toured by appointment.

The Burroughs Home was the residence of Ritzville's pioneer physician, Dr. Frank R. Burroughs.  His home has been restored to its original condition and its collection highlights clothing and household items from the 1890's to the 1920's.

The Depot features commercial artifacts relevant to Ritzville around the turn of the century.  These include the town's original horse drawn hearse and a working telegraph machine.

Ritzville Water Park

Not just one, but two great pools!

Our recreational pool features a zero-depth entry wading area, pop-up jets, a flowing dew drop, and new this season—the lurking alligator.  Oh yeah—you can’t miss our giant yellow spiraling whitewater slide!

A favorite hang-out for the older kids, the large lap pool has both a diving board and a drop slide.

The well-stocked concession stand is accessible from both inside the pool area and also from the adjacent city park.

Metal Sculptures

One of the visual highlights of Ritzville are the many sculptures commissioned by local artisans to commemorate its history.

Three of these stand at the entrance to town just off I-90 at Division street.  They are the pioneer woman, the rancher, and a farmer with his plow.

The Ritzville High School Bronco proudly stands on his hind legs in front of the high school.

Next to the Depot Museum is the Wagon Train sculpture honoring Ritzville's first settlers.

City Golf Course

Our scenic nine-hole course awaits golfers willing to make the short drive to Ritzville.  It is known for its well-maintained holes and its casual lack of the need for tee times.  The clubhouse stocks a variety of snacks and beverages, and also serves meals.  Come and walk our course or rent a golf cart from us if you need to play a bit faster.

Walking Path

Ritzville's own two mile paved walking path is great way to stay in shape.

The loop starts at the corner of Main & Division and heads east towards the fairgrounds.  There's a slight climb as the path meanders through the fairgrounds.  The return trip borders the south edge of town and features a great view.  When you reach Division street turn left and stroll back to Main street.
